Our journey is about Marjorie Bly, a reclusive and unknown missionary who devoted 54 years of her life to care for lepers on the Penghu Islands of Taiwan. She had saved more than 250 families of lepers, across not one but four generations. Through five decades of indefatigable toil and effort, she was able to eliminate all active cases of leprosy there and close the infamous lepers' sanatorium on the island in her lifetime. So it was no surprise that the grateful inhabitants of Penghu called her, “Mother Teresa of Penghu.”
